In South Africa we have developed a new way of greeting each other we say the obligatory “hello’s” and “how are you’s” and we have now added a third question, “are you busy?”

Start with one positive thought. If you repeat that thought over and over again and focus on it enough, the mind will latch onto it and do its smart work of looking around the physical world for other thoughts to match it. It creates a thread of thought that becomes a story as more thoughts corroborate the first.

Having spent the past 10 years facilitating workshops for parents and teachers, there is one truth I am sure of. Successful habits do create positive results.

Achieving goals and building self-confidence by getting things done through the use of routines and good habits.

I was taught most of the fundamentals about life by my Father and therefore learnt to think like a boy. It certainly has served me well in many aspects however I believe that I learnt to copy the social behaviour of men and never really got to know how to appreciate the intrigue of being a woman.

In a world of bullfighting Execs and lone cowboys, everyone tries to play the superhero card. Furthermore in an industry of endless possibility, everything comes down to the promise.

Since I was a little girl, I knew my family was different. I know all families are different, but in my mind, mine stuck out amongst my friends' families. I often wondered why. What made them different? Were they really that different?

I am not a hugger. I don’t like hugging people I barely know. And I really don’t like the awkwardness an impending hug brings with it.

Within each one of us lays an engraved purpose on our hearts. We were born with a calling and were created for a reason. Each one of us has a unique destiny that only we can fulfill.

Our identity with ourselves is largely through what we do but does what we do encompass all that we are?

I received an e-mail today that REALLY got me thinking and go searching on the internet for the related info. It was referring to a recent poll conducted by USA TODAY and GALLUP and was something like this:

So why the CHANGE ONE THING approach? Simply wanting to make lots of changes to many areas of life and jumping straight in without a little thought, is a one way ticket to failure, guilt and disappointment due to NO CHANGE happening!

We meet so many people every day but there are only a few of them that we actually become friends with. We also make and break friendships from time to time, but most of us have a friend or two or three that have been in our lives for years.

Gratitude is a highly spiritual concept and by using it pro-actively it will truly transform your life.

Like most of you, we at SPICE4LIFE often receive emails from friends of sweet little stories about what a special friend you are, which you need to forward to 5 friends. I usually smile and then delete them, but this one stuck with me for some reason.

I’m talking about those times in life when you feel you need to make a decision, and you need to make it FAST but you’ve no idea which one to make, and it feels like life or death situation.

I did not forget the “t” in the title because the first part of the male hormone has been phonetically removed. This is my new PC term for the metrosexual phenomenon that is making males effeminate, females masculine and humans androgenous.
