- GREET THE DAY: First thing to do when you wake up is, say: “Hello day! I’m here!” Give yourself a chance to realize that each day is a new beginning and has all kinds of possibilities.
- EAT A HEALTHY MEAL: Try to have at least one meal a day that’s filled with healthy nutritious fruits and vegetables. Your body needs you and counts on you to restore and replenish your energy.
- TELL THE TRUTH: It’s so easy to be dishonest through little lies. Practice being honest, especially with yourself. You’ll feel more confident when you have nothing to hide.
- BE KIND: There are simple, effortless ways to show kindness: Listen - really listen – to a friend, or hold a door open for someone. The world will appreciate you right back.
- MAKE EYE CONTACT: When you’re talking to people, look at them and take them in – their face, their eyes. You’ll learn to talk to people, not at them. And they’ll do the same for you.
- FIND YOUR INNER VOICE: Discover your intuition – that feeling when all of your senses work together to guide you in the right direction. That voice will always tell you where to go.
- GATHER YOUR THOUGHTS: Give yourself time to think before you speak. Always choose your words carefully. What you say will have more impact and will really represent you.
- GET TO KNOW THE WORLD: Go online, read newspapers, talk to people. Hear all sides of the issues. Knowledge is power: The more you know, the better you can form opinions and be a part of society.
- THANK YOUR BODY: Good health starts with being aware of your body, so appreciate it every day because it’s amazing. Think about it: No one tells it to heal or to breath – it just does.
- SET MINI GOALS: Big goals can be daunting. So go for smaller, attainable ones and once you reach them, use that momentum to propel yourself towards something bigger.
- MIND YOUR MONEY: Money is not magic - it doesn’t just appear. And let’s face it: You can’t live without it. Be smart with your money; take a minute to consider how you spend it, or even waste it.
- MEET YOURSELF: Look in the mirror like you’re looking at something new. Make contact – don’t focus on your hair, make-up or skin. Look at you and say something good to that person.
- REVISIT NATURE: Go outside, take a walk and pay attention to the ground under your feet. When was the last time you heard the wind? You’ll bring your senses back to life.
- CONSIDER THE FUTURE: Understand that everything you do (or don’t do) contributes to the way the world evolves. Be sensitive to what you’re leaving behind for future generations.
- ENERGISE AND FOCUS: Imagine a red ball of energy traveling down a path through you vein, around your brain, into your heart, out to your hands, down to your toes. It’ll revitalize you.
- CELEBRATE YOURSELF: Develop the power to make yourself feel good. Start celebrating even your smallest achievements.
