Dealing with a Financial Advisor

Dealing with a Financial Advisor

Dear Spice 4 Life members,

Hope you are all loving SPRING….. Summer is coming, HOPEfully

I would like to thank Spice for their support and wonderful new website that they put together!!!

I wanted to give you an insight about my occupation!!  It is not the most “glitzy or glam” nor is it the most approachable one that most individuals believe, but it is the most beneficial one.  You all may have had an encounter with the dreaded “financial advisor” who may or may not have been looking after you or themselves.

I would like to take this time to give you some facts about what I do and how I can help you so that you may feel more at ease when dealing with a Financial Advisor or me.

Please know that the industry has change drastically and in the past we were not so evolved, now there are procedures, laws and policies in place to PROTECT you the consumer for the advisor who is not looking after you!!!

Why should you see an advisor, what if you already have one, I don’t have enough money to warrant seeing one…. All these questions and statements are not the reasons to NOT see one.

I will give you a brief rundown of what I do and how I treat my clients, and please if you feel the need to check up on me, Google my name or ask my for a list of clients that could give you the “testimony” you need to feel at ease.  (Should you Google my name, look up Shirley Passanah or Shirley Bruwer).

What do I do?

I set up a FREE financial consultation with you, this meeting is at a place of your choice and a time of your choice, we meet I give you information about myself and then ask you information about yourself, in terms of:  budgets, debt, assets, goals, needs, wants, wills, children, spouses, ect.  After this I analyze all the information and compile a recommendation, we then meet again.  I will then show you the recommendation and it is up to you, again no obligation and no cost.  IT IS A FREE FINANCIAL PLAN.

Why should you see a financial advisor if you are covered, because most insurance companies always better their rates and if you are healthy and fit, earn more than you did before or maybe got that degree your current cover should cost less, also things change you may need to update your will due to a marriage or having children ect.

So please do not be afraid of me, I am not the enemy!!!  I am here to try and assist you in every possible way that I can.

I am a Certified Financial Planner (which means I have a Post Grad in Financial Planning), I may charge R1500 p/h for my advice, but I choose to give you this for free (I do request that if my recommendations make sense then you place any proposal with me).

MY goal is to hopefully allow for at least 10% of our stunning SA women to be financially independent!!!

I am working on it…….

If you have questions please email me on shirley.passanah@liblink.co.zaor call me on my cell 083 443 9000.

Thanks and keep well!!!

Shirley
