Health Is The New Wealth – Invest In Yours At The Positive Ageing Edutalks & Exp

Do you want to be fabulous at 40, fit at fifty, sexy at 60 and sassy at 70? Are you looking to unlock the secrets of healthy ageing and maybe rejuvenate body and soul in the process? Let Patrick Holford and 30 other top health specialists show you how at the Positive Ageing Edutalks & Expo, taking place from 2-4 March 2012 at the Misty Hills Hotel in Muldersdrift, Gauteng.

Treat yourself to this three-day mind, body, soul event that promises to enlighten you on the latest, progressive thinking around healthy ageing and how to practically improve your health, lifestyle and wellbeing. Meet the experts, attend their workshops, watch live demonstrations and take time out to personally experience the regenerating effects of the therapies on offer.

Designed specifically with men and women aged 40+ in mind, the Positive Ageing Edutalks & Expo is geared firmly towards providing access to professional advice on positive ageing.

“The time has come for all of us aged 40 and over to seriously start looking after our health if we plan to enjoy our golden years. The problem is that we’re constantly bombarded with information and don’t know what is the correct advice to follow. The costs of consulting a specialist privately can be prohibitive, so we’ve brought these experts – the best in their respective fields – together, in one place, where delegates can have all their health questions answered, at a fraction of the cost of individual consultations, to make informed health decisions,” explain Jenny Rose and LaRaine Hyslop, event organisers from The Balance of Work 2 Play.

The Positive Ageing Edutalks & Expo is different because, unlike conferences that merely have speakers or expos that simply have exhibitors, it offers both with the added bonus of providing an opportunity for you to experience the healthy ageing techniques being discussed.

“The idea is that delegates take a break from their busy lives and spend one, two or even three full days with us exploring the latest thoughts on what constitutes a positive ageing process. As the event is being held at an eco-country lodge, delegates can enjoy an invigorating and highly informative weekend away, complete with access to relaxing spa treatments, different therapy sessions and of course, talks by our experts. In this way, delegates will save themselves both time and money in accessing this wealth of information,” Rose adds.

Enjoy a line-up of 30 top notch speakers including nutritionist and author Patrick Holford, who will be sharing his 10 Secrets of Healthy Ageing. Also on the bill will be at least 12 doctors of medicine, psychology and natural medicine who will discuss everything from laser eye, face and body surgery to treating hair loss, hormonal imbalances, sleep disorders, dental problems and other side effects of ageing.

You can also watch live demonstrations of kettle bells, tai chi, yoga and Pilates, or revitalise mind and body with private sound therapy, Thai massage, spa and meditation sessions, as well as yoga and Pilate’s classe

In between, browse through the expo and pick up some great new products to help you on your path to wellness. Exhibitors will cover a range of health and wellbeing areas, such as aesthetic beauty, vision, hearing, nutritional supplementation, beauty, hair, hobbies, energy healing, sports and exercise.

Ticket prices for the edutalks range from R100 to R350 per person. Each talk is costed separately and, as there are limited seats available, pre-booking is essential.  A standard entrance fee of R95 will be charged per person. Weekend packages that include discounted accommodation rates at Misty Hills Hotel are also available. Depending on your particular interests, you can choose to attend one or all speaker workshops, or different combinations thereof.
