The most annoying thing I found when it came to washing dogs was the focus on the dog while at the same time reaching over for the bottle of shampoo, sqeezing out the solution, dripping half of it all over the bath and not on the dog.
Further to irritate me, was having to constantly reach back to the bottle and get some more because I only manage to cover part of the dog with shampoo.
End result was a clean dog, a tired groomer, a messy cleaning area and half a bottle of R40 or R70 dog shampoo gone.
Then I was fortunate enough to find and use the Buchu hand scrub that we sell off our site,it would last for months and I would just scrub and wash the dog again and again.
The only thing was that I still missed some of those exotic shampoo bottles with the great shine and scent.
The solution:
A pressurized hand sprayer (1.25l) which you can buy from your local hardware store for R250.
It sets your budget back a little, but you see your return on investment after just 4 washes.
I repeat, don’t try saving a Rand in buying one of those trigger sprays,
It doesn’t work very well and your hand ends up cramping.
Directions for use:
Just pour some of the shampoo into the bottle.
Dilute it with water and pressurize and spray. You shall love it.
Adjust the nozzle to get a nice wide and even spray.
The pump and oxygenation generates more lather as you apply the shampoo to the dog.
Additionally, the mixture with water allows for an easier wash since your dog’s natural coat has oils that are water resistant.
Using your one hand you may pull back on the hair and spray right down to the skin
and then use your hand in a claw shape to massage and wash your dog.
Rinse your dog and repeat the process.
