Spoil someone special on Valentine’s Day with a romantic dinner for two at the Franschhoek Kitchen, the signature restaurant at Holden Manz, the magnificent boutique wine estate nestled between two rivers with majestic mountain views.

Chef Bjorn Dingemans who joined the Franschhoek Kitchen after honing his craft working alongside some of the finest chefs in London, has created a delicious three course menu with ample starter and main course options that are sure to please your Valentine. Starters range from succulent oysters, the ultimate Valentine’s Day temptation, to slow roasted pork belly with a strawberry salad adding the essential pink touch and the chef’s home-made beetroot cured salmon. For vegetarians there is delicious roasted butternut and spinach rotolo. Specially for lovers, the main courses have been designed to share but can also be ordered separately. Meat lovers can brace themselves for the 800g T-bone steak served with the ever so tempting béarnaise sauce, while the grilled sea bass is a lighter option. Vegetarians will enjoy the gnocchi served with toasted pine nuts caramelized pear and baked ricotta.  The seductive dessert platter comprising decadent chocolate torte, a rooibos & honey crème brûlée and strawberries coated in mouth-watering chocolate, is sure to let all resistance tumble. Enjoyed with a wide choice of Holden Manz wines from a blushing dry Rosé to the award winning Big G Bordeaux-style blend, the scene is set for an evening of indulgent pleasures.
