November 2011: Rekorderlig Cider has arrived in South Africa just in time for summer. Made from the purest Swedish spring water blended with pear and apple wine, Rekorderlig cider is bursting with delicious summer fruit flavours. Perfect for picnics, parties and braais, Rekorderlig is refreshingly different.

Having already enjoyed success in the UK, Germany, Finland and the Czech Republic, Rekorderlig has also become the fastest growing premium cider in Australia and is sure to be received well by the South African market too. It is currently only available in the Western Cape, but a national roll out is planned for early next year.

Stockists at present include The Goatshed restaurant at Fairview farm in Paarl, Willoughby and Co restaurant in the V&A Waterfront and selected bottle stores and Spar Tops stores. Rekorderlig cider is available in 330ml bottles which come in cases of 24, and cans which can be purchased in packs of 4. The recommended retail price is R11.99 per can and R13.99 per bottle. The fresh fruity flavours of Rekorderlig cider include Strawberry-lime, Pear and Wild Berry.

Serving suggestions

The zesty red Strawberry-lime Rekorderlig is best enjoyed poured over crushed ice and garnished with fresh mint leaves; a squeeze of fresh lime compliments the classic crisp pear Rekorderlig; and the juicy pink wild berry Rekorderlig is best served in a glass with crushed ice and handful of fresh berries.

Say goodbye to cider as you know it, it’s time to explore the refreshingly different taste of Rekorderlig.
