Your un-mistakable laugh

I was even onto what I though was great topic about the difference between "patience" and  "messing about wasting time" (I will save that for next time ok).

I was out at the beach earlier today having a glorious cup of coffee at a cool place right on the sea (you non Cape Town guys must come and visit the sea some time) wondering what to write about today; I was even at the point of pondering on paper, thinking about some interesting coaching idea to help you out today. I was even onto what I though was great topic about the difference between "patience" and  "messing about wasting time" (I will save that for next time ok).

Then, pen in mouth, I happened to look up from my paper and there it was smack in front of me ... a young woman of about 30 -ish going past me in her car, slowing down to go over the speed bump directly in front of me.
I was sitting on a terrace so had a view straight into her car. But what about this very typical scene on a road was any different that it stopped my heart for a second?

Well , she was laughing so loud and so gleefully and so juicily that I was compelled to laugh too ... good job my mouth wasn't full of coffee at that exact moment as I am prone to shrieking with laughter always with my mouth full. Let's not go there but when I laugh I usually land up either spitting out liquid or having an asthma attack as I believe in laughing heartily ... I must chat to my brain and ask it to do it at different times perhaps?? Well, back to the scene of this morning - it took me less than half a second to realise that she was actually looking at her baby strapped in the front seat (imagine the kid face facing toward the rear of the chair with back to front windscreen, in full view of the mom).

It was a real aha moment right there in front of me ... the simplicity, connection and energy contained in her laugh. These two souls were so in the moment in their own lives that nothing else mattered. Their hearts were open and they were happy. Deeply joyous and whole-heartedly BEING with themselves and each other.  I could feel the positive energy bouncing off the car as it went on by. It touched me in that moment.
That deep, unmistakable laughter that was so pure when it came from the bottom of her tummy and curled my toes and mouth upwards so that I was laughing too.

And that is it ... life is made up of these simple, moment by moment, moments. Are you witnessing them in your life ?

Have you had enough toe curling laughs lately where your soul was unmistakably recognized through the laughing notes that dance from your tongue? And if not, what on earth do you need to do in order to feel the laughter erupt from inside you once again? Just make sure your mouth isn't full of coffee - mind you that always make those around me laugh even harder, so might be worth a try?
