As the founder of Equal Zeal® Training I am the writer & developer of all training materials in the company and am the spokesperson for the organization. Equal Zeal® provides modern lifestyle solutions for children from the age of 5 to university as well as to families, parents, teachers & corporates. It operates on the Zeal for Life® philosophy where it teaches individuals to develop a positive cycle of success in life by providing them with the toolkit to cope with the stresses & strains of daily living. In so doing, it enables them to love life, no matter what comes their way.

I am also responsible for training qualified individuals to run the Equal Zeal® programmes on a franchised basis throughout the country in their own independent branches. By January 2010, I will have 14 branches of Equal Zeal® throughout the country.

What do you love most about your field of interest?
Realising my dream of assisting children and their families by providing them with a toolkit for success through Equal Zeal® Training. I never saw myself as a business woman but through Equal Zeal® I have gained confidence in my ability to be multi-faceted in my abilities. My biggest achievement to date,is the ability to empower other passionate individuals to become involved in the work that I do and in so doing to reach many children across the country! With 14 franchises and growing I can see that Equal Zeal® is reaching a whole new dimension. As a team we are filling a need and as the need widens, what I love most is that we are working against toxic influences in our world to narrow the side-effects of our stressful modern lifestyles.

Your inspiration
Nature is an inspiration to me. Having travelled extensively throughout the world, I still find South Africa to be one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I feel inspired and motivated to wake up to the beautiful African sunrise and to watch the sun set over the mountains. I love the rawness and beauty of our country, the culture of our people. All of this drives me to instill values and skills that will assist our nation in becoming stronger.

Tell us about someone in a mentorship position that has taught, inspired and connected you to your purpose
I have many mentors and they take the form of teachers, scholars, authors, parents and friends. I think every person I meet and every situation I find myself in helps to connect me to my purpose. Working with children, I see such inherent potential in them especially and they mentor me on a daily basis through their lack of fear and willingness to learn. Their innocence teaches and inspires me to continue developing myself rather than carry baggage around.

What is your personal message to the women of South Africa?
Know who you are, choose who you would like to be and work towards using your wonderful inherent gifts to inspire others around you. All of us were put on this earth to use our gifts for the good of others. Our expectations for ourselves wield an enormous power in our lives. Begin to expect good things for yourself…you deserve it!

What is the best piece of advice you have received?
Just be who you really are. No frills, airs and graces…just be you!

What do you think is the secret to happiness
The secret to happiness is YOU. Change the way you think and you will change the way you feel…Happiness is a state of mind unique to each individual. The key to finding our own happiness is to live our true purpose!

What do you think is key to make our world a better place?
Collaboration. Joining hands and forces to begin getting back to basics: Good old fashioned family values, playing together, laughing together and living with integrity.

What is the one thing that you are sure of in your life?
I am sure of my creator and He is the one reason I aspire to fulfill my destiny of spreading hope to many who may need a lifeline in their time of need.
