How to plan health party food for kids. No fuss, no (or very little) tartrazine!
Punch - use 100% pure fruit juice & soda to add to fizz. Freeze some juice into shaped ice cubes & float in the punch with freshly chopped fruit.
Popcorn balls - freshly popped with syrup or honey
Pizzas & hot-dogs - make your own or buy
Pretzels & baked corn chips
Toffee apples - sticky favourites to keep them busy
Sandwich shapes - use Marmite, cheese and shaved biltong, then cut into shapes with biscuit cutters
Orange jelly slices - set the jelly in halved oranges with the flesh scooped out. When set, cut them into quarters.
Biscuit racing cars - use icing & Smarties or Jelly Tots for wheels & Jelly Babies for the racers
Marshmallow treats - melt & decorate with Rice Crispies
Marie faces - use icing, liqourice & sweets to make Marie biscuits with funny faces
Dried fruit & nut mix or peanuts & raisins
Crackers with cheese wedges
