How to plan health party food for kids. No fuss, no (or very little) tartrazine!
 

  • Punch - use 100% pure fruit juice & soda to add to fizz. Freeze some juice into shaped ice cubes & float in the punch with freshly chopped fruit.

  • Popcorn balls - freshly popped with syrup or honey

  • Pizzas & hot-dogs - make your own or buy

  • Pretzels & baked corn chips

  • Toffee apples - sticky favourites to keep them busy

  • Sandwich shapes - use Marmite, cheese and shaved biltong, then cut into shapes with biscuit cutters

  • Orange jelly slices - set the jelly in halved oranges with the flesh scooped out. When set, cut them into quarters.

  • Biscuit racing cars - use icing & Smarties or Jelly Tots for wheels & Jelly Babies for the racers

  • Marshmallow treats - melt & decorate with Rice Crispies

  • Marie faces - use icing, liqourice & sweets to make Marie biscuits with funny faces

  • Dried fruit & nut mix or peanuts & raisins

  • Crackers with cheese wedges
